The Yahoo! Problem

The SVP of Yahoo Post an artical in WSJ to point out what existing problem now yahoo have.
Yahoo Memo: The 'Peanut Butter Manifesto'
http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB116379821933826657-0mbjXoHnQwDMFH_PVeb_jqe3Chk_20061125.html

The major problem yahoo faced is too "BIG", and loss focus, all popluar thing over internet , they will either buy it or build a new one, leak a vision to development of the new asset. such as flickr and yahoo photo, both are photo management software, but until now still have a clear integration. on the oppsite ,google develop it's Pisca very successfuly, it integrate you PC photo tools and web albumn.
Seems Yahoo really need a big re-structuring.

Wireless POWER - 無線"電"

Wireless POWERA professor suggest to use "resonance" to transfer energy , thant means you can dump you appliance power cord. The major problem they need to slove is how to transmit the energy in one direction other then scatteeing. It can transmit power aorund 5 m.

HOW WIRELESS POWER COULD WORK

1) Power from mains to antenna, which is made of copper
2) Antenna resonates at a frequency of 6.4Mhz, emitting electromagnetic waves
3) 'Tails' of energy from antenna 'tunnel' up to 5m (16.4ft)
4) Electricity picked up by laptop's antenna, which must also be resonating at 6.4Mhz. Energy used to re-charge device
5) Energy not transferred to laptop re-absorbed by source antenna. People/other objects not affected as not resonating at 6.4Mhz
